Giacomo is a natural as a chef – he prepares wonderful dishes that are inevitably delicious! His instincts are not only on target, but they are Tuscan instincts, so above and beyond just culinary training.
Add to that that Giacomo and Laura are as kind and hospitable as can be. It seems natural that in the atmosphere they create out of their generosity of spirit, the participants always have a lovely time sharing the social occasion of a fantastic dinner seated across from (often) strangers…but not for long! We feel privileged to have these opportunities, being relatively new to San Diego.

Chef Giacomo and Laura prepared a very lovely, intimate experience in their home. Our carefully thought out menu consisted of a beautiful mozzarella and prosciutto di parma, homemade ravioli with wild arugula and parmigiano reggiano in salsa rosa sauce, a shrimp, cannellini bean and tomato dish and a wonderful homemade pistachio gelato desert. Everyone was enjoying their meals and meeting new people. I will definitely be back!

What an amazing experience. A Casa Mia’s concept of gourmet food with an intimate atmosphere is outstanding. Chief’s menu was perfectly designed. The Italian cuisine was authentic and the presentation was beautiful. Giacomo is a great chef! We hired A Casa Mia for our rehearsal dinner and we had a great experience. Giacomo is really funny and he is always trying to share things about his country.
