Pizza Pazza

This lesson will represent an enjoyable journey of my life. When my mom would prepare the dough right next to me, she would throw some flour at my face to make it even more fun! It was then when my love for the pizza pazza (or crazy pizza) started. Join us for this class so you can have fun with your kids and learn how to make pizza pazza at home. Enjoy!

Ingredients

– 1kg of flour 00 + 200g Extra Flour To shape dough
– 3 cups of water
– 40 gr. olive oil
– 2 pinches of salt
– 2tsp of sugar
– 25 gr. fresh beer yeast or 7g dry yeast
– Toppings that you would like to add (ex: Prosciutto, Mortadella, Mozzarella cheese ,Burrata cheese , San Marzano  tomato , basil, mint)

GOOD FOR 4 PEOPLE

Utensils Needed

– Cooking utensils
– Measuring cup
– 2 pans for the oven, can be rectangular, circular or squared.
– Rolling pin (if you don’t have one, you can use my grandma’s trick…. a bottle of wine without a label!)
– Big mixing bowl
– Small mixing bowl
– 1 Pot

Directions

STEP 1 – put the big package of flower in a mixing bowl.
STEP 2 – add a couple of pinches of salt to your flour.
AND MIX!!
STEP 3 – grab a measuring cup and put 3 cups of water (room temp) and put it on a separate bowl.
STEP 4 – add the yeast.
STEP 5 – add all the sugar that you got inside the container with the water and the yeast. ‘
AND MIX!!
STEP 6 – add the liquid into your bowl with the flour.
AND MIX
STEP 7 – add the oil for the dough
STEP 8 –  once your dough is ready, cover it with a wet towel.
STEP 9 – put your oven on 380 deg.
STEP 10 – put some flour on your board, put some dough on top and shape it.
STEP 11 – when ready, you can put it on a pan but make sure that you put a bit of olive oil at the bottom.
STEP 12 – put a bit of olive oil on top, a bit of salt and pepper.
ONCE THE OVEN IS READY, YOU CAN PUT IN THE FOCACIA
FOR THE PIZZA
Put some oil at the bottom, put shower shaped dough on top, add tomato sauce, mozzarella and any toppings, oil, salt and pepper.
